The New Zealand Cider Festival is back for its third year on November 3rd in Nelson, hot on the heels of a sold-out event in 2017. Proving that the popularity of Cider is on trend and worthy of its own dedicated Festival celebrating the diversity of this tasty and versatile beverage.

This year the organisers of the Festival have created even more Cider related activities for the growing number of Cider enthusiasts in NZ and the world! So… the 2018 NZ Cider Festival will showcase ‘fringe’ events from the 31st October through to the 4th November, including Cider cocktail making, sensory tasting sessions and informative tours and talks.

Joining the Festival for 2018 including the awards and fringe events is Gabe ‘The Ciderologist’ Cook (guru on all things Cider)! Traveling all the way over from the UK to spread the Cider word to the masses. Gabe has an unquenchable passion for Cider which has enabled him to work across the Cider industry for the last decade all around the world. As a global consultant, writer and teacher on everything Cider related, he embarked on a mission to educate the world on the heritage, diversity and innovation within the Cider industry and believes Cider has a place alongside the constant popularity and love of wine and craft beer.
